When boredom strikes you know that’s when you think the most. Contemplation and introspection become your buddies and in a way they assist you to find your purpose.

I find it imperative to discover what your purpose is in life.
I am a strong advocate of believing you exist in this world for a reason and it is your job to find that reason.
Do you know why you’re here?

I don’t but I’m in the thick of finding the answer. Baby steps, I keep telling myself. You should do the same.
The whole ‘what do you want to be when you grow up’ conundrum happening between my parents and I is driving me crazy. To be honest, I have no clue. Should it be a problem? No, it is only a problem which halts your journey forward when you think it is. Baby steps damn it. I’m clueless of what industry I want to be in but I sure as hell know what my next step is.

Isn’t that more important? Knowing what your next step is.
You have a goal but what is the point of it if the steps to achieve it remains an enigma. I know what I want to do next: study psychology. Psychologist when I grow up? I don’t know. There are many fields I could venture into. Do mum and dad like the sound of it? Oh hell no, not one bit.

I want to get away.
I want to find out the answer.
Please mum and dad, don’t stop me.

The conservative mindset buried deep down in their minds is suffocating me.

I want to get away.
I want my parents to understand.
I know they will never make the effort to at least think from my perspective.
I will never be truly understood by them.

I just want to get away, damn it.
